A little over a year ago, I got very interested in making money online. It sounded like an easy way to make some extra cash without putting in too much effort. Of course, one of the first things I found, was paid surveys. unfortunately, I had no idea what I was doing.
I signed up with over a dozen survey sites and started taking every survey I could. Most of them promised between $5 to $25 per survey. I had no idea how surveys worked or what I should do to make money with them. As such, after over a month of work, I ended up with a $5 gift card to Starbucks and nothing else.
There were three big problems I had back then. One, I didn’t know anything about the screening questions at the beginning of a survey. Screening questions, are questions that filter out people that do not fit the criteria that a company is looking for. Many surveys are targeted towards a certain age group, gender, or occupation. Since I didn’t know about these, I would get frustrated, because I would start answering questions and then get kicked out of a survey. I would figure it was a scam and get annoyed. Now I know, and I want you to know, when you start taking surveys, you will get disqualified for some and you will qualify for others. You just have to be patient and keep answering every survey you can. well, almost every.
The second problem I had was that I signed up with every survey site I could, I took (or tried to take) every survey I could find. This is a terrible way of going about making money taking surveys online. Some survey sites pay well, some pay crap, and some are scams. often times, people will make you pay for lists of legitimate paying survey sites. however, you could find these same sites for free if you spent enough time looking.
The third problem, I expected $5 to $25 per survey. As far as I have seen, these just don’t exist. or at least not regularly. I have gotten invited to a few $5 and $6 surveys, but most only pay around $1.50 to $3.00. they do only take 20 minutes though. So you will be earning $4.50 to $9.00 per hour taking surveys.
Now, there are a lot more free, paying survey sites then the ones I’m about to list, but these are a good start. My survey is a free survey site that offers a variety of rewards. In my first week on this site, I accumulated enough points to cash out $10 to Paypal. the next site I use is valued opinions, they pay in dollars instead of points. the minimum cash out is $20 and they offer a variety of methods. In my first week with them I made $2 and that was it, I was a little disappointed, but I stuck with it and in my second week I made $10.50.
